Curtains keep the outside out, but not the inside in
Like eyelids and doubt. They give the illusion
A wonderful delusion, that we control the light.
Windows without them are like spies
Eyes wide but with another confusion:
A vitreous silence that distorts the vision.
Last but not least of this veiled confession
Curtains are courtesans, made to reveal,
But never to kneel, that’s certain.
Like eyelids and doubt. They give the illusion
A wonderful delusion, that we control the light.
Windows without them are like spies
Eyes wide but with another confusion:
A vitreous silence that distorts the vision.
Last but not least of this veiled confession
Curtains are courtesans, made to reveal,
But never to kneel, that’s certain.
