Hey TB, I think this was well written. I actually really like it. My favorite is the third stanza and the very last line...it’s very cleverly funny. But I also really enjoy the second stanza, too. It’s just too random and specific at the same.
I like how it can be literal or metaphorical depending on the reader or even a bit of both. I read the first and third stanza as more literal and the second as metaphorical. It became less about the book and more about the relationship.
We all have that object, movie, or song that brings back memories and all the anger back so I thought this was an interesting poem that really captured that kind of a relationship.
