Nothing is wrong with it, the thing is why pay? Just submit to publishers that don,t require payment.
Why fill someone else's pocket. And like I sai, there,s a lot of scam sites out there who don,t care about your work. We run this site for the joy of poetry. We make no cash from advertising, we make no requests for cash. All we require is that you like everyone who posts a poem gives feedback.

Except you don't see a lot of people here, it is practically dead.

this site saved me a few years ago. 
even though i didn´t contribute much i would never have thought to write a comment like yours, jagged edge. go acquire some decency. 
this site will never be dead and the reason is because it is not linked to money but to fun and the stuff people want to say without expectation for payment but with expectation for decent feedback or a genuine opinion.
