My daughter loves to sing the song "Havana"
but sometimes children jumble up the lyrics.
When she belted "half my heart is a banana"

It reminded me of when I too was five
and always listened closely to the teacher.
After a field trip to a church my mother tried in vain
to convince me that I hadn't seen "the creature."
