King of the Hill

He sits on a throne;
a green and mounded hill.
a velvetty yellow crown
on a cat without teeth.
Waves are gently blown
on a carpet of grass,
in the palace of nature.
as if a royal envoy
brings forth a message:
"summer has come,
king Dandelion."

A pleasant puzzle-poem.  Liked it.  And just try to make a regime change after King D takes over a lawn!  Lopping heads is useless.

Strictly speaking, lines 3 and 8 should have their initial "a" capitalized.   Maybe also the "k" leading the final line (a title).  Also, my spell checker wants "velvety" with only one tee.
