double action is right out,
the muzzle will wobble all over
trying to pull the trigger through
with a thumb.
So single action, which will leave
me standing in the gunroom with
a loaded cocked revolver.
Damn!  I can’t do this
against all the ingrained
weapon safety training

this is brilliant. I wonder if splitting the last 2 lines as ...all the / ingrained / weapon safety training and ending the poem there might not be a better idea. it's a bit of a comedown from there.
