I never understood why people pay good money for flowers that will die the next day. And then the recipient has to find a vase, cut the stems on a diagonal, put the plant food in the water, arrange the flowers, place it somewhere the kids/cat won't eat it/break it....
How about giving a card with the flowers that says: "I gave you more pointless work to do so I could show how much I love you, in a very generic and unimaginative way. Can we have sex now?"
