I have time; retired, living alone, so lots of time. Even so, being pushed, having stress in the background, is always productive for me.
Some good writing comes when you don't want to sit down and write but you do anyway. I know now that when that antipathy to poetry builds up in me (and it becomes loathing, at its worst) it's a signal there's something brewing in my head.
Remembering to just relax and let the process happen is the hardest part of writing for me.
