The bottom line here, as I've mentioned in other threads somewhere, I strive for objectivity as much as possible. I don't always achieve it, but I sure would like to. I never look for emotional content in art - for some reason it always seems to take a little away from the parts that are objectively good. I prefer that everything be cut and dry, black and white - having a clear answer with no grey areas. The way I always have seen it, emotions are a grey area.

You explained it as well as I asked it. (And thanks for taking my questions seriously.)
I understand some of what you're saying. I try to be more aware of my emotions so that they won't
overly affect me since I'm a bit unstable in that department. II understand what you're saying, but
from a different side.
I do think that emotion and objectivity/logic are separate entities. Normal amounts of emotion
don't necessarily affect reasoning and vice versa.
One of the strengths of poetry, I think, is its ability to convey emotions. Oops, ran out of words.
