I wouldn't get discouraged, this is a site based on improvement. If no one finds something to say, either it's not worth saving or it's perfect. Nothing is perfect.
I found on this very website the following to be quite educational:

Understanding a little of the history of free form poetry helps especially where it broke free from iambic pentameter, and why meter is where it begins.
I just cringe when I write in iambic, makes me feel like a Hallmark card, but then I'm still learning.
