Before 'learning disabilities' it was 'special needs', but that label is frowned upon now. It seems that the more PC it becomes the smaller the box becomes and it doesn't seem to help anyone.
There are some things that can't be learnt... There's a Scottish island called Skye and once when I had come back from holidaying there one of the people I worked with who allegedly has "learning disabilities" asked me how my holiday in the sky was. I wish my imagination and reality was as free as that, it must be amazing.
