Hi there! I'm Katie and I've been writing since I was about 9. I don't pay attention to structure, so I'm hoping to sharpen my critiquing skills, and also get some feedback on my own work. I tend to go through 'dry' periods where I don't write anything at all and times where it's all I can do. My muse is fairly inconsistent (but in all fairness, I can be too). I've been telling myself for years that I'm going to submit my work for publication, but somehow never get around to it. I'm not sure if I'm just lazy, or unsure of myself.

I look forward to getting to know all of you better.

I suspect you decided to surround yourself in poetry around age 9 rather than hear anyone ever
call you KK again. (I have a cousin who will throw anything to hand when called this.)

Inconsistency is absolutely essential to writing poetry. If you're inconsistent, most of your poems
will be bad; if you're consistent, they will all be bad.

Pay attention to Leanne, she knows what she's talking about. (Excepting clothes. Rubber dress? Really?)
