Well, hello. I am UselessBlueprint. Don't mind the name too much. I registered this account yesterday in hopes of improving my writing, as well as examine what people tend to write about today. I've been writing since I was in high school, where I read and studied some Latin poetry for two years. This influenced my writing style significantly. Around that time I used another poetry forum just to begin posting my writings publicly. I took a semester studying English poetry in college recently, which taught me that I do have some trouble piecing together meaning in certain (newer) styles of poetry. Adhering to conventional grammar is not a priority for me. I'd say that 60% of the time a misspelling or improper use of a word is intentional. As far as reading English poetry, my favorites are W.H. Auden, Yeats, and Maya Angelou. Regarding books, The Catcher in the Rye is my favorite. I try not to write in purely emotional context. Typically, one day is worth about 16-24 lines of thought. If it's a particularly developed piece, it can be as low as 4 lines in a day. As of now, I don't sign a name to any of my works. Aside from writing, I am currently studying electrical engineering. And that is a little bit about me.
