Seriously, I'll give you the Bards sonnets (yawn), they titillate for lack of talent (well at least most do), but the plays, especially about half of the comedies, some of the dramas (I exclude "Hamlet" as it is not an organically sound play, although it has great parts. Kind of like a woman with a great body who just lays there during sex, such a tease), there has been nothing written that is other than a pale reflection, in any language or any time. Shakespeare stands on the stage and says says, here is the truth of man; here the transcendent; here the shit on the sole. I'll give "Rashomon" this, it could slice both ways, but it was no"Fist of Fury".
