I am new to the site so hello posters and hello thread.

I used to write poetry when I was a teenager and only when I was super emotional in some way. I just started a Creative Writing class while pursuing my English degree and remembered how great of an outlet writing poetry was for me. So, here I am...

There are a lot of super-emotional creatively-written English teenagers here.
(That avatar of billy's was taken years ago, he's at least 15.)

When those English English professors assign you a novel, read poetry instead; it's shorter, more
instructive, and failing to get an English degree will be the best career move you've ever made.

Then again, I don't get Ray's images there either, site blocked as adult.

Finally! Someone regards me as adult. In my bio on that site, I posted pre-op and post-op photos
of my sex-change operation. This has gotten my site listed as a xxx one. I've considered taking them
down, but if I did I'd loose 90% of my site hits (the other 10% being search engines).

It's hard being an adult, billy.  Just you wait, you'll see.

And that "poems-and-quotes" site... I did my duty: I posted some "love this, wonderful poem" critiques.
I now rate 5 stars as a critiquer as someone seems to have voted for me. So take that milo!

I fell in love with a poem from that site:

She sits in silence unable to talk,
but her eyes scream out the truth
for only her mirror to see.

Black tears trickle down
with the pain of the past and the
aftermath of what's still to come.

Her lips sealed tight with an
invisible glue which was forced
on them so many years ago.

Declined access to the future
and rejected by the present,
leaves her lost inside her past.

Tonight the silence screams
as her heart explodes
like a firework lighting the sky.

Silence screams suicide,
but only the reflection in her mirror
will see this through her lifeless eyes.
