So about dreams?

I see potential for a poem here too; the beginning reality-like scenes ending on a supernatural note. Added with the irony it's a dream all along! I'm a member of a dream forum and regularly document my dreams, I think it's an excellent way to learn about yourself and dream recall is the first step in lucid dreaming. Here's my most recent posting:

I dreamt I was detained by authorities for having large amounts of marijuana in the trunk of my car. We were in an area similar to a desert, on a highway. The shoulder part of the highway that is no longer highway was dead grass, pretty high in length, and rolled down into a ditch. I was told to stay at the bottom of the ditch. I told the officer I have to pee and he said I'm lucky cuz he does too. He walked me about 200-250 feet away from the highway, and took off my restraints. Instead of peeing, I turned around and bolted for my car. He noticed and screamed however, and before I knew it I had 4-5 officers with their weapons drawn on me. The officer that was peeing runs up, smiling, and leaves the restraints off. He says I got balls but balls get lost out here. He puts me in the back of a patrol van. While in the back of the patrol van, we pulled up to an area densely populated with buildings. My point of view immediately changed; I was out-of-body, witnessing the patrol van pull up in front of the buildings. The building on the left was a well-lit lobby, and bodies of men shuffled through. The officers stepped out of the van simultaneously, the commanding officer warned everybody to stay on their toes, that these guys are killers. They make their way single file into the building directly ahead, I followed them like a movie camera. The building had an open doorway that led out to an alleyway. The officers moved into this tight alleyway when shots rang out from behind. They immediately rushed forward into a very small courtyard, when men came from all directions firing pistols and rifles. Blood flew everywhere, it was difficult to make sense of who was shot and who was not, the officers returned fire and shot one of the men in the head. He was blocking a doorway into a dark room, but you could still see and hear his brains go everywhere as the back of his head exploded and he dropped. Some officers fell in the alley, only one or two made it into the doorway unscathed. They ran forward to a set of glass double doors and as soon as they made it through my point of view changed. I'm now in a rather strange setting. Its like a giant cliff made of obsidian, with sections of it carved out. There is a path carved out from the bottom of the cliff, with ropes along the edges. The path goes up to a square section carved out, this section has two square vats of molten lava in the middle. There is two man standing here, one an officer and the other some sort of criminal with a sniper rifle. He looks through the scope and my POV shifts so I can see what he sees through it. On the bottom of the cliff is a jagged surface (also made of obsidian) with many random cuts in the rock, making it difficult to traverse. Beyond the surface is ocean. The sniper sees a man in his sights, running. He takes a shot, and takes off the entire back of the man's skull. He drops instantly and blood gushes like a fountain. He laughs and tells the officer to check it out. The officer is pissed, he says to quit drawing attention or he's gonna get them caught. The sniper disregards his comment and says "where the fuck is he already?! He was supposed to be here with the drugs hours ago!" the officer said to be patient, the sniper grumbles something incoherent to himself. My point of view shifts suddenly. I'm in the same environment as the sniper, when I see the body of the man he just shot, not far away. I realize I'm right in the crosshairs of the sniper so I Sprint and dive, hitting the uneven and feeling an intense pain from a piece of rock coming into my thigh. I hear the crack of a bullet whizz by me. I stay prone. My POV shifts; I'm watching a man walk up the path, he's got mules that seem to be pulling crates. My POV shifts; im back in my body, I get up and run past the dead man. I eventually stumble upon 4 officers and a cream stallion with a blonde mane. The officers have the stallion surrounded, who is laying on the ground, most likely from pain. The officers are kicking it, laughing. I feel an intense rage and am getting ready to rush when the crackle of automatic fire from the distance is heard. The officers immediately draw their weapons. "We'll come back for this piece of shit," one officer remarked. They proceed to investigate the sound when I go up to the horse and try to soothe it. Its obviously in pain from the fact it doesn't want to get up. I wrap my arms around it's neck and gently tug, clicking my tongue in an effort to tell it to get up. It eventually complies and gets up, I look around and there's a very narrow path that goes down to the water. I tell the horse to go to the other side of the cliff with a pat on the back, it somehow understands me. I go down the narrow path to the water where the footing is extremely limited. I shimmy my way to the other side when I finally get there. The cream horse is already down there, laying down in a small, mini cave like corner. There are other horses here too, but they are black. As I sit on the small piece of rock below the surface, the waves of the ocean slowly get bigger and bigger. Eventually I'm completely submerged in water, holding on for dear life to a small piece of rock. The waves get bigger and come crashing down more violently. I'm hoping I can hold on when I hear voices from above. "They couldnt have gotten far, let's look down here!" I feel an intense worry, when I wake up. I feel the pain in my thigh from the rock the rest of the day, which I thought was strange.
