NOTE TO READERS:  This is an interactive poem, and you MUST say your lines OUT LOUD in order for this long distance communications experiment to work.  I'm counting on you...

Long Distance [i](hello?)

Stick a finger in your ear and

(out loud)

shout, “ GOT IT ? ”

(now listen)

If I don’t reply immediately

(that doesn’t mean)

it didn’t work

(but it may mean)

you didn’t say it loud enough.

(That’s OK, we’ll try it again)

I’m sticking a finger in my ear

 (right now)

say, “ GOT IT ! ”

(you see?)

It worked.

 I found this a bit brain frazzling
