The School Kite Festival
#3
Hey Tom,

I must admit that the CAPS are more laziness than a throwback to the past-- the word processor always caps the first letter of a line, and I've been too lazy to change that setting (or even go back to change it later).

Even on a fluff piece like this, I need to get into the habit of making that correction before putting something out there (or in here).

I like the suggestion for un-splitting the couplets, and revised this one to reflect that. (Although the chunkiness of the split couplets does seem to have that more elementary feel that this piece intends.   We'll see... The change will stand for now, for comparative purposes).

And, of course, thanks for stopping by to take a look and leave relevant comments.
... Mark

Hi mark,
Well, as you say, you've been around for a while. You may have  noticed that since about 1959 the ostentatious capitalising of every line has become somewhat marginalised in favour of common sense and clarity. That is all on the subject. Onwards.
Yes to this. Joyous, even. Not sure about some terminology but that's me not you...I try to avoid commenting on context as a correctable parameter but as I don't do obscure myself I find it hard to recognise as a virtue...so flying a first grader misees me.
Apart from that....no nits but for Pete's, and mine, sake stop splitting couplets.Smile
Best,
tectak
