My poems are usually of a religious nature, if that offends you, I apologize.
Much of my inspiration comes from the Church, classical music, and my own
kinda musings about deep stuff. Sorry If I ever come across as pretentious or arrogant.
Some people here will be a bit more skeptical of religious poems.
It's mostly (but not entirely) because they have been exposed to SO
many badly written poems having religious topics that they have
become predisposed to assume they're all bad.
As has been mentioned above, some of the hardest poems to write well
deal with religion and love (and I'll add politics). Any topic a writer
is passionate about, impairs her/his ability to write.
This creates a serious dilemma as it's passion that creates the inspiration
good writing depends on.
To become an accomplished writer, you need to learn how to control your passion
without weakening it*.
That's one of the things you can learn here (another is how to be ridiculous).

*The most important technique, in my opinion, is to learn to write in stages.
The first employ wanton passion; the latter control(edit) it.
