By my hand I raised you that you would stay by me.
We learned, each through the other, trust and  loyalty.
Never needing threat or force we understood that faith
lay in a brown-eyed passive stare but now an empty space
is where you lay a'dreaming of every woodland chase;
but by my side, I make believe, you walk and understand
that though you sleep forever, peace was granted...by my hand.

Thanks loretta,
we knew she would probably not make it through our two weeks in Scotland but her final days were dog heaven on earth...the reference to being in a bad place earlier was only my location. I have to believe she knew we were going to help her.
