More a short story than a poem, but a funny one, (I particular laughed at the five year wait time before appeals are deemed correct), and a neat satire of bureaucracy. The idea of comparing modern bureaucratic nonsense to a historical event is kind of inspired. The last line isn't needed though; it's too heavy-handed. But then I suppose George Orwell got away with incredibly heavy-handed satire... Thank you for the read.
