Crucifixion

Is it a crucifixion or circumcision? Intriguing/intimidating piece!

Well, funny thing is, I am usually rather spontaneous when it comes to painting. I usually start before I have a concrete idea about what I am going to paint. I have some idea, of course, but I like the Bacon concept of accident. I will use photos mainly, but only after I have already started to apply paint to canvas. However, in this case, I wanted to paint The Crucifixion. So i got all these pictures of the crucifixion, statues, other paintings, ect. And then went to the canvas. But then I made two lines and it turned into something else, then I lost all control, with the exception of the cross lines. It isn't finished though. But I posted it because I kind of like it, and can only imagine it will be lost soon enough.
Nope, the exhibition isn't until April. I got posters through today, but they are no good. So I have to design more. Luckily the company I get the posters from has agreed to refund my money so I am basically getting them for free. And the ones I have are not that bad (now they are free) so I can use them, they are just a bit dull.
I am also a bit concerned about the gallery, because all the paintings there are pretty formal and not very contemporary, not very punk and dirty. Concerned, but also like that idea

That's a great way to work a painting. I approach watercolor painting in a similar manner, i.e., working from reference photos. However, I stick with a general composition. There are many loss of control accidents with watercolors that you either live with or go with their flow. It yields novelty.

I think that I would prefer your company of exhibitors. You will be the stand out. Best on it!
