benny, that woman was stupid, so she has nothing to complain about.

Really Bob. This happened because of a speeding ticket. Two full grown cops and one defenseless pregnant woman. You have to be kidding me. The only reason the one charge stuck is because of impending lawsuits. They must have really be in a situation that could not have been handled without the use of this type of force. Come on man, they were way way out of line. This type of thing will continue to happen. It will only get worse.


Judge Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain joined Hall in her opinion, but Judge Marsha S. Berzon dissented.

“I fail utterly to comprehend how my colleagues are able to conclude that it was objectively reasonable to use any force against Brooks, let alone three activations of a Taser, in response to such a trivial offense,” Berzon said. “Obviously, the sensible reaction to [Brooks’] refusal to acknowledge the ticket in writing would have been to so note on the ticket and send her on her way.”
