Response to a day less than a century

  I like the way this discussion went. I feel like it is a mini version of the literary world. I'm not sure about the leap year I looked at it for awhile but am not the best with numbers. The whole thing almost seems like numerology or something with a day added every four years and another extra day added every 400 years. Yet, the whole thing seems to be done to ease calculations into whole numbers. For that reason, and probably others, my calculation is probably off. According to Google there are 365.242 days in a year so that is what I used.

If I say: "Oh my sweet, I had mourned thee/for a day less than a century" in some type of love doggerel I would be using a different sense than the calculations of the term.

If one were to fire off their love gun everyday for 100 years, well they'd have a lot to talk about. and possibly a nasty bathrobe.
