Love Doggerel

Here's is my contribution to the doggerel genre of love poetry (well good thing its doggerel):


Before continuing, I'll say I knowBrownlie, I have not the faintest idea what this opener means. As always with your stuff, I feel that it is my fault. Are you in contact with the spirit of Proff. Stanley Unwin or are you just a one-off?
My drool is often barking minstrelsy. Welcome to the minsrelsy  wiki world....do not just drop words in because they exist....you look like a dilettante
That all the cur which I Invoke may howl and beg...and on and on. What ever I take from this is devoid of any connectivity...it is a hotch-potch.
Ironically, between the gold and lead
Of Cupid’s bloody potent blind extension. Enough. I cannot go on. So, jumping to what I thought were the last four Iines I find myself reading the words of what may or not be reasonable english...why am I still not sure?  In such a case as that AS love?
In such a case, I’ll stammer blind myself,
and sear my retinas in the name of Love
As violently as an Adamic trope.
In such a case as that as Love
My argument …
Will take me smoking in the park at night,
Like a spectral fiend,  searching for my true.

I was once told by my English tutor that a thesis I had written on "The waking experience" was either the work of a genius or the ramblings of a lunatic. I can remember feeling quite satisfied with this comment. I  imagine you feel the same.
