Vinous - Another Word of the Day Poem
#2
I'm not sure it can be used this way, but I gave it a go.

Your vinous grin sends me reeling,
disposes of troubles
like champaign's bubbles
and gives me that unsteady feeling.
But on taste it's a cabernet
with undertones lurking.
Inside are you smirking?
My mind's now a cabaret,
conversation hums in a blur.
The saxophone's blaring,
there's no way of hearing
a thing said in this drunken slur.
Flip a coin for a truth or a lie
but it's one lovely way to get high.
