Christmastide

Love, come with me to Christmastide
when babes all smile with delight.
Walk lightly, joyous, by my side
from Santa's day through New Year's night.
We brace ourselves for winter's length
by stocking up on energy
emitted through the children's strength
of blind belief and synergy.
Our weary hearts can still rise up
and dance amid the innocence
of youth that feasts and downs its cup,
pray they survive their ignorance.
So, baby, join me in life's bliss
that lifts me to your warming kiss.
