This is fairly well covered ground, "monster turns on creator" a large part of sci-fi is written on this theme, to name some of the most obvious:
Mary Shelly's Frankenstein.
Star Trek, the movie, as well as in the TV series episode "Nomad"
Terminator.
Of course Hal, except we don't know if Hal is doing it or being controlled
"Before it ended". The solar system has several billion years before the Sun turns into a red giant, making earth a toast-ball. Or do you mean the end of humanity?
"Technology was snake headed", I'm not sure if this is a very good metaphor. I assume you mean it will kill you if you use it because it will poison you? I think it disrupts the reading as the reader is trying to figure out what it means.
I call these types of poems "Butterfly" poems, because at some point everyone feels the need to write one.
