Cupid's Quivering Concertina [Lyrics]

[Verse]
Each woman hides beneath her breast
Her own peculiar tastes:
She wants a man to be her Teddy bear
Or brandish flogs and canes.

But once upon a pale blue moon,
Between its wax and wane,
A girl is born that spurns the norm
And goes a little strange.

Well, I was on the lam or so I told the local pates--
The truth was that I felt that I had music in my fate.
I wanted to apprentice, and it wasn't long before
The great pianist Alfred Kent
Swung wide his parlor doors.

I peered into the gallery
And scarcely did believe it,
For there upon a peg
There was a bright red concertina!

[Chorus]
Boom boom,
My heart,
Boom boom
It went,
And ash turned my demeanor,
For there after the rug there was
A handsome concertina!

[Verse]
His madam shied and made protest
When she was bid to sing--
She seemed peculiar troubled
When I fetched it off the ring . . .

And to this day, I'll never know
How Kent failed so him to read her--
The flush I saw at once,
Soon as I held that concertina!

[Chorus]
Boom boom,
My heart,
Boom boom
It went,
As she just traced her finger
Across and round her open mouth,
And I played that concertina!

[Verse]
At last, the old man died, and I
For years had remained chaste.
The funeral appointments
We're immediately arranged.

And in the foyer, afterward,
As if she'd never seen it,
She spied upon its ring and bade me
Play the concertina!

[Chorus]
Boom boom,
Her shoes!
Boom boom,
Her skirts!
As if she had no secrets!
She put her hands on mine
As I did squeeze that concertina!

I've very deliberately created flaws in the text above and left flaws in the audio just to see how we end up handling them. Thanks!
