The nails were removed from my hands and my feet.
My mother was hankering to eat Mr. Greek.
Souvlaki is something that makes her so happy.
Like Jackie believing that I was her baby.
The flowers were dying but cottonwood flew.
I eagerly waited to write a haiku. (wink)
I used to take aim at a game full of shame.
Like popcorn farts watching Pinky and the Brain.
I gave it my all to stand tall and stand firm.
But felt like a waste of an egg and a sperm.
My roommate annoyed me like rotten Bologna.
It felt like a lifetime since eating Pierogis.
I used to think I was a rapture awaiting.
Something to love like... capture the flag.
I don't mean to brag but I feel like I queen.
Who thinks a beanstalk can grow from jellybeans.

Thank you!
lol, I like the bit about Bologna and Pierogis I think a rhyme scheme like this is best used in a poem with a flippant tone.
