Really? I just got such a Borges feeling from you, your shit. I LOVE Borges. Him and Oscar Wilde I find myself compulsively agreeing with. I've read everything he's written. I love his compilation of essays (though others might not like as much as his poetry or fiction). He's got about as much common sense and penetrating intelligence and wit as I've literally encountered...kind of like Montaigne in that way, though Montaigne not as delightfully so.

No one, not even Borges, could have possibly read everything he's written.
Or did you mean Wilde? That's faintly possible.

But me? No, jeez, I've never read everything of anything nor anything of
everything. But I've tried to fool some of the people some of the time
(that's got to count for something).

Did you ever read Paul Valery's writings on poetry? They might be better than his poetry.

But Borges, anybody who loves Borges is somebody worth loving.
