The middle of the night was silent,
A whisper the sole sense in between
two sleeping lover's dreams left un-spoke
and the shame they both felt as they woke.

As the dew left a milky wet coat
on each blade of uncut morning grass,
they both started for home to forget
The mistakes they mistook for passion.
