*Only a few years ago one could drive from one end of Austin to the other and never hear a car horn blown in anger. Lately there has been a growth which is locally attributed to the immigration of northerners, also known as “Damn Yankees” who have destroyed their towns and have moved here to destroy ours; starting with the natural peace and tranquility that has pervaded our fair city until said influx of these other folks. –Ed
Nota bene: There has for some time been a debate between me and Lee and Han Son. Lee and Han Son categorically states that a word can rhyme with itself, such as “me” with “me”. I have taken the opposite stance that a word cannot rhyme with itself. One may be desirous to point out that what I disavow is happening here. This is incorrect. The first “me” rhymes with “Yankee”, and the second “me” rhymes with “Yankee”. Of course this only goes to show that a Yankee surrounded by two “me” is self-centered, which of course we already knew, or else why would they be a honkin’ thar damn horns and disturbing the peace!

PS I have submitted this as the official bumper sticker of the Great City of Austin, in the State of Travis, in the country of Texas. “Don Tread on me Sum Bitch” (Texas National motto)
