Try to think rationally, for instance you would not "pluck" each letter to "clear your name".
You would "Answer" each letter to clear your name.
Be consistent to everyday life; no one speaks in the way that you have written this piece,
I suspect you did it for "poetic effect" but it has the opposite effect.
