Not for me. I suck. But as an appreciator of the fine art of poetry, I would be willing to be an organizer and patron of it, as in establishing the framework for it, and offering a sum of, say, $250.00 dollars for the winning poem. Hey, money and competition breeds success, methinks.
What do I get out of it? Reading great poems.
What I'm thinking so far is this:
--Poems must be submitted in a particular thread by April 30th
--One poem per person
--It must be your poem (honor system)
--It must be a new poem (honor system)
--Members of the site will be the judges the week following April 30th (who? how many? I don't know)
--There will be a discussion thread where members can argue their reasons why a certain poem should be the winning poem (this would be ongoing, and challenge our critiquing/appreciating skills)
--Yes, if I stake it my word is good. Money sent the day after to the winner/winning poem
Any interest? If yes, I'll MC it and be the patron of it.
If not...oh well.

You can't hate me more than I hate myself. I win.
