Planting Season

At natures insistent pleading,
brash stamens and lovely lobelias,
the youngest, the freshest,
flow gracefully outside,
under fractured ice crystal stars,
and reading lamp moon,
as only graceful, supple,
young limbs can:
away from the fixed focus,
of the mature weighted down
stalwart stems and petulant petals.
Taking only the echo of music with them
trysting, touching, exploring,
moving in and out of
the moon shadow,
as breathing and pulses
increase rhythmically,
effortlessly struggling,
climbing the peaking ecstasy that howls
through their thin trembling tender shoots,
giving over to liberating libations
of needful nectar,
and low lyrical cooing.

Nature's
