I don't get the "ready salted" phrase, but I suspect that has to do with my lack of knowledge. Otherwise, very succinct.

Right or wrong, my first thought was that salty taste skins takes when it perspires all day. This was reinforced with the shared cola on a stoop. Hopefully that's what you were going for. If not, ignore me for I know my mind is a trifle warped.

AND I left out that I found it charming, a little sentimental, and it makes me think of childhood.
