frantic day

milo and billy (and Todd? can't remember) dipping into their NAPM stuff led me to rediscover (and tweak) this little one:


Forgot the dishes once again
and still have your shirt to mend
didn't put the clothes away
but I've done a lot today!
I didn't sweep or mop or dust
out bed still looks of love and lust
shoes still line the front door mat
I didn't have time for all that crap!
I read five chapters of my book
look at these photographs I took
I wrote my mom about her knee
and even penned some poetry.
I'm sorry if the house's a mess...
today I was just really pressed.

I really enjoy this one. I remember thinking, I doubt the person being addressed really minds that the house isn't clean.
