I agree that Merlin would keep his obligations. I just wondered why he didn't fly initially. I get it now. You could probably have Merlin consider riding and decide that the need is too pressing despite the use of more power.

It could fit in I think fairly simply.

Explaining prose is never as bad as explaining a poem--don't worry.

An elegant solution that I am going to implement post haste.
