Cryptic Line in Tennyson's Come Down O Maid
#4
With Death and Morning on the silver horns,
Nor wilt thou snare him in the white ravine,
Nor find him dropt upon the firths of ice,
That huddling slant in furrow-cloven falls
To roll the torrent out of dusky doors:

i'm thinking silver horns are mountains
the ravine is a ravine
a firth is a body of water
a furrow-cloven falls is a great image of a water falls or how it leaves the rock. think of a cloven hoof
the torrent is a river

and the poet is saying, you will not find love in such lofty lonesome places, come down from there and join the living in life

(i think)
