Hi, everyone,
I'm fairly new to poetry - been reading and enjoying it since I was a teenager but I only started writing about a year and a half ago! I'm 25. Aside from poetry, I enjoy playing and writing music, my dog, Mexican food, and serial killers. I've got an English degree from one of those fancy "we're one of the best, private, liberal arts institutions in the nation" colleges but I tend to think that's all hogwash anyway. School is what you make of it...
I love Hardy, Plath, Shakespeare (who doesn't?), Lowell, Frost, Millay, Hughes, and many others. I tend to gravitate towards late 19th/20th Century poetry but I've been known to crack a dust-covered book every once in a while. For novels, I love Celine ("Journey to the End of the Night" is my favorite book ever), Twain, Dahl, Faulkner, Steinbeck...I'll read anything you give me.
Looking forward to reading and critiquing your poems! I hope to be a helpful member.
