To answer you question: Yes, I am surprised.
I skipped around, read a few pages and intend to read some more.
I think you've done a good job of weaving parts of the traditional
story into yours. And I really like how much fun you obviously had
taking advantage of Mary's last name to construct some pretty wild sentences...
