I (like hardon) was pretty clueless with regard to message or meaning. hardon's critique stretched my critiquing abilities by demonstrating how to express bewilderment without offending or seeming insipid. After you explained that it was a glad to be home poem it started to make sense. That stretched me further ... helping me to realize that when I read poetry I have difficulty understanding, I should, perhaps, experiment, applying concepts or themes that might clarify a poem's intention ...
