Hypothetically speaking, if Canada became part of the United States, then the U.S. would have 10 more states, 9 of which would almost always vote for the Democratic party. Such a union would permanently destroy the Republican party's chances to ever again be in charge of the U.S. federal government.

It will not happen in our lifetime.

and hypothetically that's not a revolution. it's a changing of boundaries. and it would still be the usa. the same country. it wouldn't be canada or the usa and canada. it would be the usa.
