The wind, oh so strong
hits me across the face
startling me.
My skin stings from the blow,
I keep moving
my mind searching
for what? I don’t know.
Rain materializes out of nowhere
like a raging stampede
uncontrollably lashing out in anger,
I feel frustrated.
A beer bottle lays in the grass
shattered by hatred,
the glass, a puzzle,
tells me a story.
So untimely
a car drives by splashing the sidewalk
where a small beady fly is resting.
Wind worn, life short,
it too is searching for something.
I feel pity for the creature
as the water engulfs him.
But I continue on,
searching
for the
unknown.
hits me across the face
startling me.
My skin stings from the blow,
I keep moving
my mind searching
for what? I don’t know.
Rain materializes out of nowhere
like a raging stampede
uncontrollably lashing out in anger,
I feel frustrated.
A beer bottle lays in the grass
shattered by hatred,
the glass, a puzzle,
tells me a story.
So untimely
a car drives by splashing the sidewalk
where a small beady fly is resting.
Wind worn, life short,
it too is searching for something.
I feel pity for the creature
as the water engulfs him.
But I continue on,
searching
for the
unknown.
