yeah, i can add a poll.
I do the best i can (given the time i have to post) in serious i'll usually do a line by, though seldom will i comment on every line. I'm not the greatest at giving feedback, I just say what i think as to how the poem affects me.
In mild i often go overboard and give more feedback than i should; mia culpa.
in novice, i think i give decent feedback, often i'll give an example of things i mean, while i may rearrange a few lines. i try not to re write the poem. (i used to do the rewrite thing :blush) mia culpa.
in fun i try and pick up on something i can say something funny or smart-arsed about.
in haiku i also tend to go over board, three lines and i'm replying with essays at times
(no mia culpa on this one
)
i think we have lots of excellent members who give relevant feedback, and a few who need to try and improve.
i think workshops not only need in-depth feedback, they also need a variety of styles in the way the feedback's given.
like leanne said, it can be hard giving feedback, specially on a new site. well done,

I've been giving it my best shot. At first I found it extremely hard; probably because it felt unnatural. But it is getting a lot easier, which must mean I'm becoming more ruthless. Although saying that I've just noticed that I only joined 5 days ago, but it feels more like 5 months..... but in a good way.

A propos of nothing, I see that Celtic have been turned over by Motherwell.
