I've been giving it my best shot. At first I found it extremely hard; probably because it felt unnatural. But it is getting a lot easier, which must mean I'm becoming more ruthless. Although saying that I've just noticed that I only joined 5 days ago, but it feels more like 5 months..... but in a good way.

We really need a thumbs-up emoticon... but thank you! It's never easy to begin with but just like writing (and possibly even moreso), close and careful reading is a craft worth learning. Writers need readers, and good writers need good readers.

It is. Detailed or not, every comment you make is insightful and highlights something about the poem that does/doesn't work. That's exactly what we need.
