On the banks of Chenab, a bride
awaits her groom to arrive.
A time-worn bag at her side;
On the banks of Chenab, a bride
Glassy eyes, tears long dried
Holding on a hope barely alive.
On the banks of Chenab, a bride
awaits her groom to arrive.
