Yours is a measured response...on the one hand, I am glad you don't like it....because I don't either. On the other hand, should we NOT like poetry just because we don't like the content.
I may have to eat those words as I intend having a rake through serge's latest tome...there are bound to be bits I cannot swallow.
I am trying too hard to read the metaphor in your comment as you intended because the poem is actually about a young woman, new to prostitution, thinking her thoughts whilst at work, wishing the shag was more than it is....and her client thinking HIS thoughts and wishing much the same. In the end, the money goes one way only.
