I don't know a lot about poetry as I've recently started writing myself. However, I will say that I enjoyed this poem thoroughly. I thought it was written in an enjoyable prose and I felt I could understand your intentions behind it. Like I said, I'm a newbie so I can't offer any constructive criticism but I think you should know that I enjoyed it.
